The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County, in partnership with the City of Douglasville, is ready to celebrate Spring with the communityâs most popular event of the year, the annual Taste of Douglasville! Each year, participants not only enjoy Taste of Douglasville, but they also help the Cultural Arts Council support school programs reaching local students, providing affordable spring and summer arts camps in county and city parks, free “Family ARTSVentures!” curricula-based school performances followed by the same artists performing spring and fall concerts for the whole family, critically acclaimed gallery exhibits at the historic Roberts-Mozley House, and many more special events like the Mad Hatterâs Tea Party.

All proceeds benefit our various programs: We focus on rescuing and helping stray cats with our spay/neuter program, alongside our educating efforts, adoption/fostering program, TNR program, pledging program, and transporting. We are working to help decrease the overpopulation of cats and increase the number of cats we re-home and help to have a better quality of life.

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is delighted to announce the 26th Annual Chili Cook Off competition in downtown Douglasville on Saturday, October 22nd from 6-9 p.m. This fun-filled fundraising event will be held in conjunction with the Rogue Runners Moonlight Run. All proceeds will benefit the CAC and its programs throughout the year.
Join us for the Childrenâs Halloween Costume Contest portion of the evening. We can’t let the kids have all the fun, join the adult costume contest.

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County presents its annual Gala and Auction themed, Mosaic: Around the World on Saturday, November 19th at the Douglasville Conference Center starting at 6 pm. âThe night of Gala is the night for the Arts Council to celebrate its accomplishments in the past year and to raise needed funds for the upcoming year,â. The activities will include an elegant meal catered by proof of the pudding featuring food from around the world, silent auction, dancing, live cultural performances. and more.

The mission of the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) has always been to nurture, guide, and stimulate participation in the arts in the community. On November 29th, help the CAC give the gift of Arts Education to the youth of Douglasville and Douglas County. This Giving Tuesday the CAC is raising money to help fund Art Education Initiatives around Douglas County. These programs positively impact the lives of young people by teaching creativity, problem-solving, and cognitive ability. While at the same time providing a platform for self-expression and discovery. Donate to the CACâs Giving Tuesday campaign, and help the CAC bridge the gap!

Show off your culinary skills as a chili chef in this yearâs Chili Cook-Off competition. Itâs a fun community event in downtown Douglasville and itâs a fundraiser for the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get uncorked, smocked & in your seat! If you desire more time to unwind, visit with friends & breathe before we get twisted, we invite you to arrive up to 30 min prior to start time. It’s your Happy Half Hour! Classes will start on time so please plan ahead.
For customers who choose the candle-making add-on, please note that it’s essential to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the event. This extra time is dedicated to crafting your unique candle. We appreciate your punctuality as it ensures you can savor both the painting and candle-making aspects of your creative evening with us. The candle-making session has a specific time frame, and if you arrive late, it may not be possible to complete the candle-making.
If youâre coming with others, but making reservations separately, give us your groupâs name or point person in the Special Request box. We’ll seat you together!
FINDING US: We are located on the corner in the JoAnns plaza off Hwy 5 in Douglasville.
PAYMENT POLICY: Payment is due at the time of the reservation to guarantee your seat. If you choose not to pay online, please call our studio at 678-324-8315 to make a payment by phone or visit our studio in person for payment.
REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY: A refund or store credit will be given for individuals canceling with at least 24 hours notice. If you are late to the class you may not be allowed to paint and your payment will be forfeited. No shows will not receive a refund or store credit.
Painting with a Twist reserves the right to change the artist, postpone the class, or cancel class for unforeseen circumstances. Classes with insufficient enrollment of less than 4 guest may be cancelled within 4-5 hours of the event. Customers will be notified in advance and refunds or store credit will be issued.
